Common Threads

Quilt Quild

The Common Threads Quilt Guild is not for profit, non-discriminating organization as regard to race, color, creed, age, sex or natural origin for those interested in all aspects of quilting.

The purpose of the guild is to preserve the heritage of quilting; to be a source of information and inspiration, to perpetuate a high quality of excellence in quilting and related arts, and to be a gathering for people with a common interest.

If you are a quilter or quilt lover, the Common Threads Quilt Guild may be the group for you.  Guild meetings include lectures by published and non-published speakers, hands-on interactive programs, and demostrations of quilt related activities.  Each meeting includes a Block  Party for all who wish to participate and an optional Show and Tell to give inspiration.  All levels of quilters, male and female, are welcome.  Workshops and retreats are scheduled thoughout the year, day and evening friendship groups (Bees) are available for those who wish to sit and stitch, make friends and share talent and ideas.

This past month CTQG gave 1 quilt (Scrappy Trips) to a family who lost their home in a fire.  At the present time CTQG is working to give another guilt to a local family but information isn't available at press time.

We will be making adult bibs for an area nursing home during the next Sit and Sew on November 16, 2013; 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Landmark Bank Conference Room will be the site for the Sit and Sew.
